Saturday 25th to Sunday 26th April

REMEMBERING WORLD WAR ONE

Exhibitions, re-enactments and interactive performances illustrating life in Berwick during the First World War and marking the centenary of the Gallipoli Landings and the Battle of St Julien.

Friday 1st to Bank Holiday Monday 4th May

OUR BORDER STORY

Beginning with the annual Riding of the Bounds on Friday 1st May, the weekend also features colourful medieval encampments, demonstrations of crafts and weapons skills from the turbulent period of Border history from the 12th to the 16th century and ‘Bygone Borderlands’, a display created by local history societies from both sides of the Border.

Friday 8th to Sunday 10th May

BERWICK AT WAR 1939-45

Our event marking the 70th anniversary of VE Day (8th May 1945) features ‘Berwick at War: 1939-45’, an exhibition illustrating life on the Home Front, and a rally of military and civilian vehicles of the period on Sunday 10th May.

Friday 22nd to Bank Holiday Monday 25th May

BERWICK MAY FAIR and ‘OUR GUILD AND TRADES STORY

A packed programme of events for all the family opens with the Mayor’s Walking of the Fair and includes street markets, Berwick Rotary’s ‘Party on the Parade’ and the colourful Mayor’s Parade on Sunday 24th May. The theme is the Guild, crafts and trades of Berwick, today and in the past.
