Armed Forces Day begins with a traditional military Drumhead Service at St Andrew's Wallace Green Church at 10.45am.
The service is followed by a Parade along Walkergate and to the Town Hall on Marygate at 12noon. Amongst those taking part are; Berwick Pipe Band, the Pipes and Drums and Cassino Band of Northumbria Army Cadet Force, members of the Royal British Legion and detachments from the Army Cadet Force, Air Training Corps and other veterans and youth organisations.
Commemorations culminate in the Guild (Town) Hall at 1.30pm, with an exciting exhibition of Military memorabilia featuring sections on the Battle of the Somme, Jutland and Britain in 1916.
The Armed Forces Day event in the Guildhall continues until 3pm.
This event is part funded by the Berwick Town Council and will be co-hosted by the North Northumberland Royal British Legion (RBL) and Berwick Detachment, Northumbria Army Cadet Force.
