Berwick Tourist Information Centre
The Berwick-upon-Tweed Treasure Trail is the fun way to explore this charming town.
The Trail is in the form of a murder mystery and engages people in finding the answers to clues as you follow the Trail. When all the clues have been solved you are left with the identity of the one who dunnit and the weapon they used. There is the chance to win a £100 prize when the Trail is complete.
The route and clues get people to visit hidden parts of Berwick and investigate various interesting features along the way. It starts at the Tourist Information Centre and finishes in Marygate.
A Treasure Trail is just £6.99 for a group to share and can be done on any day, at any time with anyone. Most people stop for refreshments along the way. The Treasure Trails are available to buy from Grieve's Booksellers and Stationers (Marygate, Berwick.)
The length of the Trail is two miles and an average group take about two hours to complete it. The route is suitable for a pushchair and a wheelchair. There are a couple of steep inclines where a wheelchair user may need assistance.
Really enjoyed this, the clues were not too difficult or too hard to find, and the trail led us to parts of Berwick we would not have otherwise seen. - J.W. from Chesterfield
