(Beneath Town Hall)
The Buttermarket is found next to The Town House Café and comprises the colonnaded rear ground floor of the Guild Hall, accessed from the street, and is host to a group of friendly market traders offering a wide range of unique and individual goods and gifts. Regular stall holders sell second-hand books, vintage movie posters, and L.S.Lowry prints; Hand-made natural herbal creams and ointments to ease aches, pains and discomfort, creams and masks to give your skin a natural treat as well as infusions, massage oils, bath salts and perfumes to soothe the soul; Photographic artworks of iconic local landmarks, available as prints and greetings cards, and locally written, performed and recorded music. Other regular attendees sell handmade silver jewellery, artisan stained glass and collectables and antiques.
The Stalls are here between 9am and 4pm on most Saturdays throughout the year (excepting January and on days where extreme weather leaves us sheltering in our homes) and on Wednesdays during School Holiday times. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any queries.
