DOOLAN READY TO ROLL: Although tomorrow's practice will be Kevin Doolan's first speedway spin of the year, the amiable Aussie has kept his motorcycling muscles all right and tight during the winter months by regular outings on his moto-x machine, declaring himself ready to roll in what will be his first season as a Bandit since 2002. Well aware that the big No 1 on the back of his race-jacket will double as a target for several of his ambitious Berwick team-mates, Kevin will be happy to see them upping their averages as they try to topple him from the role -- because he fully intends to increase his 7.51 rolling CMA too, pulling up the team's collective scoring along the way!
TOMORROW NIGHT - AN INVITATION: The bikes roar again! Tomorrow (22nd March) is our Press & Practice Evening, the weather is set fair and admission is free. All of the 2014 riders will be on show and the new race-jackets revealed for the first time. The Track Shop will be open, with your new season's souvenirs and apparel on sale. Food, plus hot (and cold) drinks will be available in the stadium bar area at the back of the stand. Expect the Bandits to be out on track sometime after 6.30pm.
MORE QUESTIONS THAN ANSWERS: After the riders leave the track tomorrow evening, remember it is then on to the Black and Gold where the promotion are staging a no-holds-barred Question and Answer session, featuring riders and officials. Admission to this sure-to-be lively Q&A is only £5, including hot food, some music and a raffle. After checking out the track action, come on into the B&G and check out the answers to your questions, too! All the riders, plus promotion members will be on stage during the night. Proceedings are expected to get underway around 8pm.
The Berwick Bandits compete in British Speedway's Premier League, racing most Saturday nights from March until the end of September, at their home track, Shielfield Park.
