Overview

On 2nd and 3rd May 2015, Berwick 900 will be holding Bygone Borderlands, a local and family history weekend in the Guildhall, Berwick-upon-Tweed to celebrate the unique history of the English and Scottish Borders.   The event will be organised by the Berwick-upon-Tweed Record Office, part of the Woodhorn Trust, and will consist of various displays created by local history and heritage groups in the area, telling the story of their own communities. Members of the Northumberland and Durham and Borders Family History Societies will also be on hand to offer advice on Family History. As well as the displays, there will be a series of short talks. At various times throughout the weekend, there will also be some family/children’s activities. If you have an interest in finding out more about Berwick's 900 years of history, or your own family history connections, come along.
