On 7 September 1838, Grace Darling and her father William saved nine people from the wreck of the SS Forfarshire. This year is the 175th anniversary of the rescue.
The RNLI is celebrating with a family friendly event at Seahouses LIifeboat Station and harbour from 10am.
In the boathouse all day:
Lifeboat Discovery Trail- fun heritage trail for families around Seahouses village.
The Great Grace Paint-Off- fun finger painting for children of all ages.
Keep up with Grace- test your fitness with our indoor rowing challenge. Can you beat Grace's pace over 5 minutes

12pm- Keep Up With Grace indoor rowing challenge
1.30pm- Watch a Search and Rescue Excercise
2.30pm Seahouses lifeboat laying a wreath at the farne islands
3.30pm- Historic Row Returns
A variety of boats will be offering trips out to the Farne Islands, please book early to avoid disappointment.
All events are in aid of the RNLI, the charity that continues to save lives at sea.
