Art at Etal

Art at Etal is a pop-up fair, held on the second Wednesday every month, April to October at Etal Village Hall, at Ford and Etal, Northumberland. These special Wednesdays showcase the work of many local artists and makers…. but concentrate mostly on original art, printmaking, collage, illustration, sketching, along with traditional artisan makers such as glassmakers, ceramicists and textile work.  They are like a pop-up, informal gallery, where you can meet the artists in a really informal but very beautiful setting and find out more about their work. Some of them also stage free demonstrations during the day, so you can drop in at any time and see them at work. All work will be available for sale, and there is always something for most tastes and budgets.

No two months are ever the same, with different artists popping in and out each time, and always plenty of new work to see, so definitely worth visiting each month. Free entry, and dogs are welcome.

The tearooms are just across the road, and the beautiful, thatched pub (Northumberland’s only thatched pub) is right next door….and there is a castle at the end of the street! Lots more to do across Ford and Etal to make a day of your visit.
