Poole Pirates have been the dominant force in Championship speedway post-covid winning four of the past five league titles, including the double in 2025.

In that time, the Pirates have won on two of their five appearances at Shielfield Park with one draw. Indeed, there has only once been more than two points between the sides in those encounters.

Number one Richard Lawson is a Shielfield Park specialist, while Lewis Kerr led the Bandits in 2024, and William Cairns and Cooper Rushen are two of the exciting crop of British teenagers making their way in the sport.

Get up closer to the action than any other stadium in the UK in either the 1,400-seat grandstand, covered back straight terracing or the picnic area on the third bend, which offers a unique view of the racing. Two licensed bars and snack bar, and a takeaway restaurant are available on-site.
