One of the highlights of any summer is the visit of Redcar and their enthusiastic supporters for this battle for North-east speedway bragging rights.

Shielfield Park is the perfect venue to showcase the talents of former British champion Charles Wright while Jake Allen and former world under-21 longtrack champion Jake Mulford are others who enjoy the pace of one of Britain’s fastest raceways.

Redcar have an impressive record in the Borders with ten wins from their last 25 visits but the Bandits hold the upper hand in recent times with four successive victories in what are always tense and exciting encounters.

Get closer to the action than any other stadium in the UK in either the 1,400 seat grandstand, covered back straight terracing or the picnic area on the third bend which offers a unique view of the racing.

Two licensed bars and snack bars and a takeaway restaurant are available on-site along with a souvenir shop.

Admission £20 adults, £18 concessions with accompanied under-16s free. Tickets from berwickspeedway.com/tickets or pay cash at the turnstiles which open at 6pm. Racing begins at 7pm
