πΊππππππ πͺππππππππππ is a new live event series and podcast that rethinks how we understand the archival.
For this second edition of Special Collections we invite you to join us at Jackal for a listening session with Ellie Armon Azoulay, who will lead us through strands of her research at 2:30 pm, followed by a short break and then a Q&A session, which will go towards a podcast.
Folk music cannot be owned. It belongs to the people. It is never stagnantβalways shifting, reshaped by the lives and struggles of those who carry it forward. This listening session invites you to listen to the creative and radical ways individuals and communities have reclaimed songs and musical traditions to resist oppression and confront colonial violence.

πΒ Jackal, 30 Hide Hill
This project is initiated by longtime Berwicker Kathryn Elkin, and recent incomer Lauren Velvick, with funding fromΒ @createberwick, and support from Jackal, a new cultural space on Hide Hill. We want to invite locals and visitors alike to question, enact and provoke βthe archivalβ from within our historic walls, at events that will offer a proposition from somewhere else, but will also create space for thinking, talking, conspiring and scheming.
