Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday – Birds of Prey Days

Join us for a day celebrating the incredible world of birds of prey through engaging demonstrations and self-guided discovery activities.

Scheduled Activities

Morning Flight Show – 11.00am

  • Watch our birds of prey demonstrate their natural behaviours and flying abilities.
  • Learn about conservation, adaptations, and the important role these species play in the wild.

Afternoon Flight Show – 1.45pm

  • A second opportunity to experience our birds in action.
  • Featuring educational commentary throughout the display.

Self-Led Activities (Available Throughout the Day)

  • Story Book Walk – Follow a themed trail around the site and enjoy a family-friendly story as you explore.
  • Lost Falconer Trail – Solve clues and help find the missing falconer on this interactive discovery trail.
  • Bee Highway – Learn about pollinators and the importance of bees through our educational outdoor trail.

Please Note: All scheduled activities are observation-based and self-guided. There are no hands-on animal handling sessions included within general admission.


Wednesday & Saturday – Reptile Discovery Days

While exploring the centre, visitors are welcome to spend time in our reptile room and learn more about some of our fascinating reptile residents.

Reptile Room

Keeper talks 11.00am & 1.45pm

Throughout the day, visitors can:

  • Visit the reptile room at their leisure.
  • Learn more about the reptiles, their habitats, behaviours, and care.
  • Ask questions and enjoy a more informal learning experience.

Please Note: Reptile room visits are educational and observation-based. There are no hands-on reptile experiences or animal handling sessions included within general admission.

Looking for an even closer encounter?

Book a private session for a more personal and immersive experience. These pre-bookable experiences provide opportunities to get closer to selected animals and learn more about their care, training, and conservation.  Sessions are limited to 10 people, £30 per person and are 45 minutes long and available at the following times 11.45am and 2.45pm.


Photography Workshops

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced photographer, our photography workshops offer unique opportunities to capture stunning images of birds of prey and other animals while receiving guidance and advice throughout the session.

Advance booking is recommended for all private experiences and photography workshops, as places may be limited.
