Jackal is an independent art space right in the heart of Berwick-upon-Tweed, founded by artist and curator Mills Jackson Rowe.

Jackal is an independent arts space and project venue on Hide Hill in Berwick, dedicated to supporting emerging and established artists working across contemporary practices. The space showcases thoughtfully curated exhibitions, talks, live events and performances.

Alongside exhibitions, Jackal hosts artist talks, workshops, listening sessions and live events, creating a welcoming environment for artists to test ideas, and develop new work outside of traditional gallery formats.

With a commitment to accessibility and community, Jackal offers a supportive platform for emerging artists to grow and connect, while also providing established artists the freedom to push boundaries and question conventional ways of working, all within an alternative to the ‘white cube’ gallery setting.
