Since opening in May 2023, Maggie has been running two to three classes each week, with plans to expand and welcome even more students to her workshop.

Her classes attract a diverse audience, most commonly women between the ages of 30 and 70, though she is keen to inspire younger makers and holidaymakers looking for a unique experience during their stay. With classes advertised up to four months in advance, visitors are able to book ahead before arriving in the area. Locally, students often travel from within an hour’s radius of Cornhill, though many come from further afield to enjoy the workshops.

Each class is designed to be a special day out, a chance to switch off, and create something beautiful. With small group sizes and fully equipped workbenches, participants benefit from plenty of one-to-one guidance. The sessions are geared towards complete beginners, so no prior experience is needed. Maggie also offers private and corporate classes, making them suitable for special occasions or team-building events. The minimum age for participants is 13, provided they attend with a paying adult.

Maggie’s vision is to become an integral part of the local business community while establishing her workshops as a creative highlight for visitors and residents alike.
