Berwick Beaches
Berwick-upon-Tweed is home to a selection of beautiful beaches, each offering its own unique character and stunning coastal views.
‘Little Beach’, located just north of the pier and lighthouse, can be accessed via Pier Road. This spot is especially popular with photographers, thanks to the striking red and white lighthouse and the impressive views stretching out towards Holy Island and Bamburgh Castle.
Berwick Beach at Greenses Harbour sits below the golf course and Berwick Holiday Centre, tucked into a sheltered bay. Once home to the fishing community of the Greenses and their families, who lived nearby in Low Greens, the area is now a favourite with families looking for a relaxed day by the sea.
From Berwick’s beaches, you can also join the Berwickshire Coastal Path, which heads north into Scotland, passing through spectacular coastal scenery on the way to St Abbs and Coldingham.
