BORN OUT OF THE DESIRE TO CREATE SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR THE NORTH EAST, LINDISFARNE FESTIVAL CAME TO LIFE IN EARLY SEPTEMBER 2015, WHEN A 2000 STRONG CROWD DESCENDED ONTO THE GLORIOUS FIELDS AT BEAL FARM TO EXPERIENCE A WEEKEND LIKE NO OTHER.
A small festival on a BIG mission, Lindisfarne Festival is continually striving to create and sustain the most incredible yet affordable music, arts & wellness festival in the whole of the UK! A mission to bring together people from all walks of life for a weekend of pure unadulterated fun in a truly spectacular location. A mission to shine a spotlight on talent, support those in need, encourage exploration of the extraordinary and celebrate some of life’s greatest treasures: music, art, nature and above all else – people!
Providing a wonderful hedonistic escape from reality, Lindisfarne Festival is a place where you can shed all responsibility and revert to that care-free, childlike state of being. For one weekend of the year, forget all of your troubles, disconnect from the stresses and strains of everyday life and focus on nothing but having an absolutely amazing time with the amazing people around you.

THE DINGLE DELL
Home to crack-pot comedians, psychedelic folksters, soulful songsters and tropical dancers. Experience electrifying rhythms, soaring vocals and lashings of laughter, as some of the finest acts from the forests and hills, grace the Dingle Dell stage with their enchanting presence at Lindisfarne Festival 2023…
DUBSHACK
Get ready for some sizzling pyro displays and warm beachy bass-lines, as a shipwrecked crew transplanted from a tropical island will be washing ashore at Lindisfarne Festival 2022, bringing with them their sweet reggae music from out of the ole shack!
Grab yourself a rum and come shack out under the stars and sun and soak up those coastal summer vibes…
PILGRIMS! WE HAVE HEARD YOUR PRAYERS AND WE ARE READY TO DELIVER!
Coming new this year to Lindisfarne is a stage that embraces the very essence of what we are: it is here to make your heart thump to the early hours. Pilgrims, we present The Altar!
The Altar is a new, beautiful, bespoke made, unbelievable space that will be smack bang in the centre of our sacred site; it will be the heartbeat of the festival and our fun. You’ll be dancing and singing in a kaleidoscope of colours to DJ sets which will be all about embracing the tastes of one and all. You’ll find yourself dissolving into the deep beats of northern soul, funk, indie, rock and then riding high on the awesome anthems of the 80s, 90’s and Disco. If you want to dance, come to The Altar, if you want to sing, come to the Altar, if you want to find your salvation in music, here we are!! We can’t wait to deliver the best nights of your life! VIKING BREW HOUSE
Rock on up to the Viking Brewhouse, for a serving of the infamous Lindisfarne Mead, the finest Northumbrian brews and the most funky and punky acts on the shore! Open early in the day until the early hours of the morning, expect dancing a-plenty and raucous merriment in abundance.
THE TEMPLE
Since ancient times these rituals have been performed, and as the moon completes her journey once more, the alignment is complete, and The Temple opens its sanctum to the faithful to come together in the dance.
Our ceremonial masters will guide us through an experience like no other as mystics of the mic and turntable wizards perform their exotic feats and bombard your senses with colour and sound.
SHANTI BEE
The Shanti Bee Healing Area this year at Lindisfarne is back with its chilled out spaces, a vegan cafe selling chai, cuppas, and a range of tasty raw and baked cakes.
For the Shanti Stage & DJ booth on Thursday night Shanti Residents will take over bringing you funky electronic sounds full of love.
Friday night things get a little more glitchy and electronic to shift you into the party mode and then we keep it cool on Saturday with spirited melodies, beats, synths and close with some fairly fine electronic music – join us for a dance, a chai or to kick back in one of our many sofas.
Outside the Healing space you’ll be able to lap up the healing energies or get a one to one Holistic Therapy with one of the six therapists that will be joining us this year.
This year you can also delve into the Cacao Cafe Tent where you can enjoy heart opening Cacao throughout the day and experience Kirtan (mantra chanting) and motivational spoken word and poetry and shamanic drumming.
THE CRYPT
In the darkness lies The Crypt, heavy with the scent of the dance.
Hands reach out from beyond the rave to drag you back in.

Walkabout and Entertainers
What makes Lindisfarne Festival so special is an incredible and friendly atmosphere we have; a hugely diverse selection of amazing bands and DJs help make that, but the icing on the cake is the fantastic entertainers we have for you. We have a drums crew creating a unique atmosphere, world walkabout performers who will blow you away with their creativity and skills, and fire performers, jugglers, actors, acrobats and dancers. You will be amazed and delighted and won’t be able to take your eyes off them!
Performers this year include – SPARK! World Beaters, PyroCeltica, Harbingers Drum Crew, Bangshees Drummers, Fiery Little T, and loads more!
Born Lippy Takeover
Showcasing all kinds of wordy goodness, sample a creative cocktail of literary performance poets and vocal spitters from the street!
Chock full of lyrical experts from a multitude of genres, the Born Lippy Takeover will feature a spectacular lineup of local and national artists who’ll be venting their spleens for your enjoyment in a variety of forms.
