11th June 2o23 | Departure at 10:30am from Etal Village
Get your motor runnin’. Head out on the highway!
On Sunday 11th June, more than 100 years’ worth of motorcycling heritage will be on display when the annual Bamburgh Run once again sets off from Ford & Etal Estates.
After you-know-what caused the cancellation of this splendid gathering of veteran, vintage and classic motorbike enthusiasts in 2020 and 2021, we are delighted the cavalcade of cherished machines will once again be with us.
The organisers expect over 80 polished and pampered motorcycles will be lining up for inspection in Etal Village from 9:00am ready for their official departure at 10:30am.
Some of the machines will probably date back to well before the First World War, while even the “youngest” are likely to have rolled off the production line soon after the Second World War.
Names like AJS, BSA, Norton, Panther, Royal Enfield, Sunbeam, Triumph and Velocette evoke great memories among motorcycling aficionados, but you do not need to be an expert to enjoy the sights, sounds (and smells!) of dozens of vintage machines setting off the round trip to Bamburgh and returning to Etal at around 2pm. The bikes will once again be put on display.
Fashion fans, please note: Some of the riders are likely to be in period costumes to complement their machines.
