HODS 23 Bell Tower and Lords Mount Guided Walk

‘Sound the alarm! Summon the guard! Invaders are coming!’ . This walk provides an opportunity to see some early defences started by Edward 1 in 1296; a fortified tower, complete with gun positions, a well, bread oven, latrine and much more.

Join Ray Clarke on this walk to explore Berwick’s lesser known medieval walls which encompassed a larger area of the town than the Tudor ramparts.
