Taking local soldier, teacher and artist Robert Cooper Clements’ 1913 tourism poster as inspiration, come along to this hands-on family workshop led by artist Sinéad Kempley and create your own postcard or poster. Just drop in!

In this creative workshop, run as part of the Living Barracks Project, you will experiment with various textures and materials, including images from the Berwick Archives, to explore historic and present-day notions of well-being and the seaside. Sinéad will share stories from Berwick and Spittal’s history of tourism and industry and introduce collage techniques that generate unexpected connections and build narratives. All ages are welcome but children must be accompanied by an adult.

Materials provided. This event will be held in the Officers’ Mess to the left of the shop. Look out for the HODS bunting.
