Knives Out (2019) – Sound and Vision Film Night

Sunday 22nd January | 7pm | Barrels Ale House, Bridge Street

This month’s screening will be ‘Knives Out’ (2019).  It’s a bit more ‘mainstream’ than our usual selection, but with its’ sequel having been released recently (‘Glass Onion’), I thought it was a good time to re-watch the better film (in my view) of the two. Also, I thought we could use a lighter film for the grey month we’re having. There’s a great ensemble cast, with Jamie Lee Curtis, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, and of course, Daniel Craig, having lots of fun with an outrageous accent.

Hugely-successful crime writer and patriarch Harlan Thrombey is found dead in his sprawling country house, where all his family is also staying – everyone seems to have a motive, no-one seems to be an angel. It’s a really enjoyable take on the classic country-house murder mystery trope.

As usual, it’s FREE entry, but please email d_purvis_condottieri@hotmail.com to book a seat. Free popcorn, too!
