There will be a large onsite marquee holding 25 indoor dealers, 40+ individual outdoor marquees and outdoor sellers.

Free parking, toilet facilities, all in the grounds of Paxton House, one of the finest examples of neo-Palladian architecture in Scotland. Paxton is also the home of a nationally recognised collection of Chippendale and Trotter furniture. The House will be open.

Nestled in 80 acres of parkland, there is something for everyone, the woodland playground, slides, swings and most importantly the zip line is especially popular with the kids.

Inspired by a dear friend, Davie Wright, and his business, Glam Racket Interiors, this event name carries on his legacy.

How did Glam Racket Events get its name?

Seppe: The name “Glam Racket” comes from a dear mutual friend of ours, Davie Wright, who passed away far too young. He was an inspiration to all of us. His business was called Glam Racket Interiors, and naming this venture after him helps carry on his legacy and keep our team together.

Why did you pick Paxton House and the area, and how has your experience been hosting an event there?

Seppe: We considered various options for hosting this event, but we were in awe of Paxton House. The team there was enthusiastic and had all the amenities we needed, including lodges and accommodation in Berwick. Location scouting can be challenging since you often look through rose-tinted glasses, but the grounds are so beautiful, and the town has been incredibly supportive. Planning and hard work are essential for events like this, but the town and our team’s encouragement have made us very excited.

What are your hopes for the weekend?

All: Decent weather, ha! But in all seriousness, we want everyone who visits Paxton House – the dealers, the visitors, everyone involved – to have a wonderful experience. We hope they leave saying, ‘That was fun, I’d like to go back,’ or ‘Look at what I found!’ or ‘We had a brilliant time, walked along the Tweed, and visited the grounds.’

We meet so many enchanting characters in this trade. They’re all very grounded and committed for life. We want to share that fun and welcoming atmosphere with the public too.
