In the rural village of Beal, The Birdhouse is a beautiful three-bedroom home that offers a captivating escape from daily life with amazing views of the countryside especially the garden. Equipped with contemporary amenities, boasts a fully functional kitchen, a cosy log burner, WIFI, and private parking, this thoughtfully designed home guarantees a comfortable stay. With the Northumberland Coast and Holy Island within sight of the home, it’s an ideal getaway for relaxation or exploring for all ages.


Ground Floor:

As you enter the hallway, you’ll find a bright space with doors leading into the Lounge and the Kitchen/diner, with stairs up to the three bedrooms.

Lounge:

Walking into the bright Lounge, which spans the full length of the house, there is a large L-shaped sofa and a snug-style armchair. The room serves as an ideal retreat for relaxation, boasting a comfortable multi-fuel log burner and a Smart TV equipped with online streaming services, creating the perfect ambience to unwind after a lengthy day.

Kitchen:

The Kitchen/diner, which is at the rear of the home, has a modern, yet country style, and is fully equipped to ensure a home-from-home cooking experience. It consists of an electric oven, electric hob, extractor fan, fridge freezer, integrated dishwasher, washing machine, and microwave.

A solid wooden table graces the kitchen, offering comfortable seating for up to 5 guests. Positioned in the heart of the kitchen, this area serves as an excellent space for socialising, whether it’s preparing a meal together or gathering around the table for a shared takeaway. An external door leads out to the amazing, enclosed garden.

Downstairs W/C:

At the other end of the Kitchen, by the back door, there is a downstairs W/C which features a toilet and wash hand basin.


First Floor:

Master Bedroom:

The Master Bedroom located at the rear of the home, features a comfortable king-sized bed, bedside tables, wardrobe, and a chest of drawers. This room has beautiful views overlooking the countryside, a perfect spot to relax and unwind.

Second Bedroom:

At the front of the home, you’ll find the second bedroom which features two single beds, bedside table, a wardrobe, and a chest of drawers.

Third Bedroom:

The third bedroom is also at the front of the home and has one single bed, a bedside table, and a chest of drawers.

Family Bathroom:

The Family Bathroom is a great size and features a toilet, two wash-hand basins and an P-shaped bath with shower overhead.


Outside:

The spacious outdoor garden stands as a notable highlight of this home, offering breathtaking views of the Northumberland countryside. Take a seat and relax on a summer evening, immersing yourself in the peaceful sounds of nature. The garden predominantly features a well-maintained lawn, complemented by a patio area encircling the home. An additional patio, overlooking panoramic countryside views, is adorned with a rattan furniture set and table. This home is regularly visited by a large variety of birds, aptly named this is a perfect spot for any keen birdwatchers.

Parking:

The Birdhouse has a private driveway which can fit two vehicles.

Unfortunately, The Birdhouse is not pet-friendly.

Guests also have the facility to store pushbikes in the garage if required.

Nestled just off the A1 near the quaint rural village of Beal, The Birdhouse is ideally explored by car. While a convenience shop and pub/restaurant are within walking distance, the true allure of the Northumberland Coast and its attractions lies within a short driving distance.

From certain parts of the home, you can catch glimpses of Holy Island – a small, historically rich island featuring pubs, cafes, Lindisfarne Castle, and Lindisfarne Priory. Keep in mind that due to the tide, Holy Island becomes completely inaccessible twice a day, so make sure you plan your day around these times.

The closest major town to Beal is Berwick-upon-Tweed, situated at the northernmost tip of Northumberland county. Berwick-upon-Tweed is easily accessible to other popular locations such as Bamburgh, Alnmouth, Alnwick, Seahouses, Craster, Warkworth and many more.

Berwick-upon-Tweed also holds a train station, offering direct and regular connections to and from Newcastle, Edinburgh, and London Kings Cross. A mere hour’s train ride away, Edinburgh stands as an enticing option for a day trip, adding an extra layer of exploration to your Northumberland experience.
